"Celebration is the art of pausing to honor the beauty of the moment, the courage of the journey and the simple joy of being alive."

Recently I had the privilege of co-leading a yoga and sound healing session in celebration of a friend's birthday. It was a beautiful morning - filled with movement, breath, and shared gratitude. The next day was my own birthday and as I stepped into the next year of life, I found myself reflecting on the meaning of celebration.

True celebration isn't just about birthdays, anniversaries, or big milestones. It's about recognizing the beauty of everyday, the small moments that go unnoticed:

  • A deep breath that resets the mind.
  • The way your body feels after a nourishing stretch.
  • The morning light filtering through the trees.
  • The laughter of a friend who truly see you.
  • The simple act of showing up for yourself again and again.

Celebration is joy in motion. It moves through us just as it moves through nature - the birdsong at sunrise, dolphins leaping playfully in the waves, flowers opening to the warmth of the sun,

What if we paused to celebrate more? Not just the big achievements, but the little victories- the strength we've built, the love we've built, the love we've given, the ways we continue to grow. This week, I invite you to find a moment to celebrate yourself. Take a breath, place a hand on your heart, and acknowledge something worth honoring in your life.

How will you express joy in motion today?
